When Vionic approached me, it was already personal. I’ve worn the shoes for
years. The idea that well-being starts from the ground up, is real for me. One
of the smartest things we can do is choose the right shoes. We spend our life

why did you choose to get involved?

vionic understands that function is not a compromise. it’s the foundation.

And when it's paired with beautiful, thoughtful design, then it really works. The most unique thing for me about Vionic is their focus, first on science and well-being. I think the idea of innovating and taking how your foot works and how your body works, and what you need seriously first, and then adding the beauty and style and fashion aspect in after is really the part that most inspired me. It was an easy “yes” because I have been a Vionic customer for years.

what are the first steps to take to live well?

PEOPLE OFTEN UNDERESTIMATE HOW MUCH THEIR SHOE CHOICES INFLUENCE THEIR WELL-BEING.

Taking care of yourself is something that has become a complex idea, but fundamentally, it's still quite simple. It’s about moving your body enough, not necessarily pushing yourself to extremes.

Real nutrition tailored to what feels good to each individual is also essential. Equally important is spending time outside in nature, soaking up sunlight and fresh air, which can significantly boost your mood and overall health. Rest and recovery play crucial roles too - prioritizing sleep and stepping away from our devices when possible. Interestingly, I often talk about movement and its relationship to well-being. To me, well-being genuinely starts from the ground up. Foot health and choosing the right footwear have always been incredibly important to me. People often underestimate how much their shoe choices influence their overall sense of well-being.

Tell us about your belief and ritual in the power of everyday movement?

EVERYTHING IS ABOUT INTENTION, AND FOR ME, THAT STARTS WITH MOVEMENT.

I sometimes think that people feel like they have to make a grand gesture around movement instead of it just being all the little bits that help us and support us throughout our days. It doesn’t have to be, “I have to go to the gym for two hours,” it can just be that nice, quick walk. Or I’m taking the stairs instead of taking the elevator, and just all of these nice little bits of movement that support us throughout our day that over time can impact us in so many positive ways.

What is the unsung hero of well-being?

WALKING IS THE UNSUNG HERO OF WELL-BEING.

Walking is the unsung hero of well-being. Because it’s free and accessible, people often overlook its impact, not just on our physical health, but on our emotional well-being too. A simple walk can change how we feel.

Everyone is an athlete is something you truly believe – tell us why.

EVERYONE’S AN ATHLETE IN THE SPORT OF LIFE.

Everyone is an athlete, whether they know it or not. I believe this because, first, you have a body, and your body is meant to move, and now let’s pile on all the things that you’re doing in your life. You’re walking, and driving, and you’re showing up to work, and being a parent, and doing all these things - so considering yourself an athlete is a great way to approach your day- to-day life. I really love this idea for people.

Do you think people underestimate the impact of their footwear on their overall well-being?

PEOPLE DON’T GIVE WHAT THEY’RE PUTTING ON THEIR FEET ENOUGH CREDIT.

I think people undervalue the impact of what they’re wearing day in and day out on their overall health. Because it’s not just that day or that party that you went to, it’s about supporting yourself with things that not only support your feet but then that trickles all the way up to your spine and your posture. I think people don’t give what they’re putting on their feet enough credit.
