ACTIVE RECOVERY: Race Week Do’s and Don’ts with Ciara Lucas

 

As you’re approaching race week, it’s important to prepare! Ciara suggests these do’s & don’ts in the week leading up to race day: 

 

DO: 

  1. Taper/pull back intense activity 
  2. Lessen stress, focus on sleep and nutrition 
  3. Plan race day details–food, supplements, race outfit, post-race clothes

 

DON’T: 

  1. Over do it 
  2. Try anything new (A cardinal race day rule!)
  3. Second guess your training
